bangladeshiworkers.com is a noticeboard. It lets people publish what work they offer, what work they need, and what goods they are buying or selling, and it lets those people contact each other. It is not an employer, an agent, a broker, a payment processor, an escrow service, an insurer or a party to any agreement you make. Every arrangement reached through this site is between you and the other person alone.

You need an account to post, to open contact details, and to send messages. You must give accurate information about yourself, keep your login credentials secure, and not create an account on somebody else's behalf or impersonate anybody. You are responsible for everything done through your account. One person should hold one account.

Tokens are an internal credit used to pay for actions on this site. They are not money, not a currency, and not a stored-value instrument. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, cannot be transferred outside the site, and are not your property. We may adjust what actions cost and how many tokens a package contains. New accounts receive a one-time grant of free tokens. Tokens may be sent between accounts using the transfer feature, and doing so is final and cannot be reversed.

No payment gateway is currently connected. Top-ups on the Purchase page are simulated and no real money is taken. If real payments are introduced, these terms will be updated before that happens.

When you cancel or delete a posting before its paid period ends, the per-day portion of its cost for the unused days is returned to your token balance automatically. The publishing fee is not refunded in any circumstance. Tokens spent on unlocking contact details or starting a conversation are not refundable, because the thing they bought has already been delivered. Tokens are never refunded as money.

You keep ownership of what you write and upload. By posting it you give us permission to display it on this site, including on public boards, in the feed, on your public profile and in search results. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything you publish, including prices, descriptions, qualifications and photographs.

• Anything illegal in Bangladesh, or anything offered for an illegal purpose.
• A travel ticket priced above its printed face value — see section 8.
• Weapons, drugs, medicines, alcohol, wildlife, or stolen or counterfeit goods.
• Anything that misrepresents what you are actually offering, including fake qualifications.
• Somebody else's contact details, photographs or identity documents.
• Adult services, gambling, lending, or any financial or investment scheme.
• Content that harasses, threatens or degrades a person or a group, including on the basis of religion, ethnicity, gender or disability.
• Bulk, duplicated or automated postings, or any attempt to manipulate search or proximity ranking.
• Requests to move payment onto a channel designed to defraud the other person.

Your phone number, email address and social link are not shown on the open boards. They are revealed only to a user who spends tokens to unlock that specific posting. Contact details you obtain this way are given to you for the purpose of that one arrangement. You must not collect, store, publish, resell or use them for marketing, bulk messaging or any purpose other than dealing with that person about that posting. Doing so will get your account blocked.

You choose whether your phone number, social links, National ID and last-active time are public. Your name, email, bio, skills and location are always public, because they are what make you findable. Your token balance, your IP address and your full National ID are never published — a National ID marked public is shown only as its last four digits.

Selling a bus, train, launch or plane ticket for more than its printed price is illegal in Bangladesh. Every ticket listing must state the ticket's printed face value. The site compares your asking price against it automatically. A listing priced above face value is published with a public warning stating that it is over-priced, is recorded, and may be reported to the relevant authority. You are solely responsible for the legality of any ticket you sell here.

Nothing sold through this site is inspected, weighed, tested, hallmark-checked, valued, insured or guaranteed by us. No money is held by us at any point. Gold, electronics, construction materials and every other good are traded entirely at your own risk. Meet in a safe public place, verify what you are buying before you pay, and get a receipt. If a deal goes wrong, it is a matter between you and the other person, and where appropriate the police.

A rating can only be left by somebody who completed a confirmed deal with you, once per deal. Ratings are public and permanent. They cannot be edited or deleted afterwards — not by the person who left it, not by the person who received it, and not on request. Ratings must be an honest account of your own experience. Coordinated, retaliatory, purchased or fake ratings will get every account involved blocked.

Conversations are private between the two participants, and are stored so that both of you keep the record. When a deal is closed the posting is removed but the conversation is kept. Administrators may read a conversation when investigating a report. Do not use messages to send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited advertising.

Administrators may edit or remove a posting, block an account, or adjust a token balance where these terms have been broken or where a genuine mistake has to be corrected. A blocked account keeps read access — you can still sign in and browse — but cannot post, unlock contacts, message, rate, buy tokens or transfer them. You will be told that you are blocked and given the reason. You may respond using the feedback form.

The site is provided as it is, without any warranty. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of faults, or that any posting on it is genuine, accurate or lawful. Features may change or be withdrawn.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, injury, damage or expense arising out of an arrangement made through this site, out of anything a user posts or says, out of the conduct of any user, or out of your inability to use the site. That includes unpaid work, unfinished work, goods that were not as described, money lost in a private transaction, and disputes between users. You use this site and deal with the people on it on your own judgement.

You may stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Closing an account does not return any token balance, and does not remove ratings you have already received, since those belong to the deals they describe.

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
